Young Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck is cherishing his experience at his new club, where he feels a home.
The 22-year-old was among a host of new players who joined the Nerazzurri in the summer.
The Koln youth product enjoyed an impressive two-year stint with Danish first-division club Aarhus. The Italian giants splashed 7 million euros to secure his signature.
The German has only made two brief cameos for Simone Inzaghi’s team this season. But he remains one of the future.
In a chat with the club’s social channels, Bisseck named Arsenal legend Thierry Henry as his favorite player, while revealing that he too started as a striker.
“Thierry Henry is my idol. He was an extraordinary footballer,” said the Germany U21 starlet in his interview with Inter TV via FcInter1908.
“I started as a striker, but over time, as I got taller and taller, the coaches moved me to the back.”
Inter Milan Defender Yann Bisseck Is Already Feeling At Ease With His New Teammates
The centre-back explains that he adopts an instinctive approach, while describing himself as modern defender.
“The technical staff and match analysts try to explain the opponents’ weaknesses, but during the match, most of the players go instinctively.
“We know the opponents but in the end what counts is who does better in that moment, so you have to try to win the duels.
“I’m a Modern defender. I like having the ball at my feet as well as going forward and scoring.
“I also like defending. Sometimes a good sliding tackle in the area is better than scoring a goal.”
Finally, Bisseck reveals that he feels at home at Inter despite his relatively short time at the club.
“The locker room is very important. You spend a lot of time with your teammates, so if the atmosphere is good you have more fun.
“It’s important to get to know them, but after just a few days I understood that this is an excellent group.
“For a new player, it’s sometimes difficult. You might be a little shy at first but I immediately felt at home here.
“Everyone welcomed me with open arms and it was very easy to settle in.”
