Inter Milan Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has scouted Lecce midfielder Ylber Ramadani in a couple of recent matches.

This according to Italian news outlet PianetaLecce. The outlet report that the Nerazzurri executive has watched the 27-year-old for both Lecce and the Albanian national team.

Ramadani has been enjoying a very positive start to the season for Lecce.

The Giallorossi have been one of the early surprise packages of the season.

Despite the fact that Lecce sold Morten Hjulmand to Sporting CP over the summer, after the Dane had arguably been their outstanding performer last season, the Calabrian team have hardly dropped off.

On the contrary, Lecce’s new-look midfield has been one of the team’s strengths under coach Roberto D’Aversa.

This has partly owed to the form of the player who replaced Hjulmand during the summer transfer window.

Inter Sporting Director Scouting Lecce Midfielder Ylber Ramadani

Ramadani was the player who Lecce signed to replace Hjulmand during the summer.

The Giallorossi signed the Albanian international from Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen.

Ramadani had played for a few clubs outside Europe’s top five leagues prior to his season spent in Scotland.

But that was enough to convince Lecce Sporting Director Pantaleo Corvino that the Albanian had the right qualities to make the step up to Serie A.

And so it has proved to be the case.

Ramadani is not the only impressive piece of business that Lecce and Corvino did during the summer.

The Calabrian club also brought in striker Nikola Krstovic. The young Montenegrin international is another target for Inter.

According to PianetaLecce, Inter Sporting Director Ausilio has already watched two matches partly for the purpose to scouting Ramadani.

One was a Serie A match between Monza and Lecce at the U-Power Stadium.

That match saw the Giallorossi have to play nearly half of the match down to ten men after a sending-off for defender Federico Baschirotto.

Lecce managed to run out with a point, although it had been a backs-to-the-wall defensive job from the Calabrians.

And the other was a recent international friendly between Albania and Bulgaria. Albania won that match 2-0.
