Inter Milan could offer Monza either midfielder Gaetano Oristanio or striker Francesco Pio Esposito as part of a deal for midfielder Andrea Colpani.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are exploring the possibility of a player-plus-cash bid for the 24-year-old.

Colpani definitely appears to be a major target on Inter’s radar for next summer.

The young Italian midfielder would be a sensible player for the Nerazzurri to go after on a number of levels.

Colpani is Italian, something that has definitely become an attractive quality within Inter’s transfer strategy.

And the 24-year-old has been enjoying a breakout season for Monza.

So far this campaign Colpani has found the back of the net five times for the Brianzoli in Serie A.

However, this form means that Colpani will not come cheap.

Even though Inter enjoy a good relationship with Monza, they will still need to meet the asking price for the midfielder.

And one way in which the Nerazzurri could do so would be with the inclusion of players going the other way.

Inter Could Offer Monza Player + Cash For Andrea Colpani

One player Inter could put on the table is midfielder Oristanio.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is on loan at Cagliari this season.

This is Oristanio’s first campaign in Serie A. He had spent the previous two seasons in the Netherlands with Volendam.

And Oristanio has started regularly for the Rossoblu under Claudio Ranieri.

Cagliari do have a purchase option on Oristanio. However, should they not exercise it or should Inter exercise their buyback option, he could be an option.

Meanwhile, striker Pio Esposito is currently on loan in Serie B with Spezia.

The 18-year-old was one of the shining lights for Inter’s Primavera team last season.

And particularly in the event that Monza do not sign Lorenzo Colombo permanently from AC Milan, they could be looking for a young centre-forward option.
