Inter Milan are reportedly trying to beat competition from some of the biggest clubs in Europe for Schalke teenager Asan Ouedraogo.

The 17-year-old is an attacking midfielder who rose through Schalke’s ranks and has now become a regular feature in the first team.

The youngster has made 11 appearances in 2. Bundesliga this season. He contributed with a goal and an assist.

The young man certainly hopes to help the Royal Blues in their bid to earn promotion. But with a host of top European suitors on his trail, his future may lie elsewhere.

According to Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari via FcInter1908, Inter is the most active club in the race of Ouedraogo.

Nevertheless, the Germany U17 starlet has many other suitors tracking his development between Italy and the rest of Europe.

Longari also claims that AC Milan are confident in their ability to land the youngster.

This could set the stage for a Derby della Madonnina clash on the transfer market.

But as the source also notes, Arsenal, RB Leipzig, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all keeping an eye on the situation and have been scouting the player.

Ouedraogo was born in Germany in 2006 and has been representing Die Mannschaft on various age levels. However, he also holds Burkina Faso citizenship.

While he primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, the teenager can also feature in a deeper midfield role or even as a winger.

The young player’s contract with Schalke runs until the summer of 2027.
