Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, and West Ham Unites are all interested in signing Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski next summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
At the moment, Zielinski’s contract with Napoli runs until the end of next June.
The Polish international looked like he could leave the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona during the summer. Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli had showed a strong interest in his signature.
However, that move to Saudi Arabia never transpired for Zielinski.
The former Udinese and Empoli midfielder instead remained with the Italian champions.
And according to the Gazzetta, Zielinski indicated to his friends that he was keen to remain at Napoli.
Zielinski joined Napoli in the summer of 2016. He has since made over three hundred appearances for the Partenopei.
The Pole has won the Coppa Italia and then last season, the Serie A title with Napoli.
And Zielinski has been a fixture in the starting eleven under several managers.
Maurizio Sarri had introduced Zielinski into the team. Then, the likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Gennaro Gattuso, Luciano Spalletti, and now Rudi Garcia have all been reliant on the Pole.
Inter, Juventus, Liverpool & West Ham All Keen On Zielinski
Zielinski is now out of contract with Napoli in less than twelve months’ time.
The Pole’s deal runs out at the end of next June.
Inter consider Zielinski a potential target. The Nerazzurri’s strategy of going after free transfer opportunities is no secret, and they see the 29-year-old as a big one.
Meanwhile, Juventus also see Zielinski as a target.
The Bianconeri are aiming to reinforce in midfield, possibly even in the January transfer window. Bans for Nicolo Fagioli and Paulo Pogba have left Max Allegri’s team light centrally.
According to the Corriere, Zielinski is one of Juventus’s main midfield targets along with Lille’s Khephren Thuram and Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg.
The Corriere report that the Bianconeri do not consider Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic a major target.
Meanwhile, Inter could face competition for Zielinski’s signature from the Premier League.
The Corriere report that both of Liverpool and West Ham are closely following the Polish international’s situation.
