Roma coach feels that Inter Milan are an extremely high-level team, whilst Juventus are brought to that level by their coach.

The Portuguese tactician spoke in a press conference after the derby against Lazio, as reported by FCInterNews.

It is certainly still too early to say decisively that the Serie A title race will be between Inter and Juventus.

But the weekend’s results have certainly reinforced that impression.

All of AC Milan, Napoli, Atalanta, Lazio, and Roma dropped points. On the other hand, each of the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri got the job done.

This means that the two teams at the top have a bigger lead than they have at any point in the season.

Meanwhile, the gap between Inter and Juventus is small.

The Nerazzurri have a two-point buffer on their Derby d’Italia rivals. But the fact that the two teams meet just after the break, mean that the Bianconeri have the chance to overtake them right away.

Mourinho: Inter Fantastic Team, Juventus Good Team With Fantastic Coach

Clearly both Inter and Juventus have strong squads.

And there is no denying the quality of either Simone Inzaghi or Max Allegri, the two sides’ respective coaches.

Inter coach Inzaghi has yet to win the Serie A title. But he has won multiple cup competitions domestically, and reached the Champions League final with Inter.

Meanwhile, Allegri has enjoyed a glittering record of success with teams like AC Milan and Juventus, even in his second spell at the Bianconeri he has yet to win any silverware.

Mourinho said that “We’re three points back [from the top four] because of how the season has gone.”

“There’s Inter, who are a fantastic team,” he said.

“And then Juventus, who are a good team with a fantastic coach.”

“But otherwise you have teams like Napoli who lost to Empoli. Or Milan who lost 3-2 against Lecce,” he joked. “I mean, sorry, they drew 2-2.”
