San Lorenzo’s sporting director postpones transfer talks linking Inter Milan with 19-year-old Agustin Giay.

The young right-back has now emerged as the latest Nerazzurri transfer target.

The Argentine rose through the ranks of San Lorenzo, becoming a regular feature with the senior team.

The teenager made 40 appearances across all competitions this season.

Therefore, the Serie A giants have reportedly identified the South American youngster as a potential replacement for Juan Cuadrado.

The 35-year-old joined the club on a free transfer in the summer but is currently struggling with an injury that hindered his contribution to the cause.

Thus, Inter directors Beppe Marotta and Pierro Ausilio might be seeking a younger profile who can act as an understudy for Denzel Dumfries.

San Lorenzo Director Postpones All Talks Regarding Inter Milan’s Interest In Agustin Giay

Nevertheless, San Lorenzo’s sporting director Matias Caruzzo claims he has no information on Inter’s interest in Giay.

The club official explains that the Argentine side will elect a new board next month, adjourning all transfer talks to December.

“At the moment we don’t have any information regarding Inter’s possible interest in Agustin,” proclaimed Caruzzo in his interview with Sportitalia via FcInterNews.

“There will be elections in the club on 17 December. All these assessments will depend on the results.”

Giay is also the captain of the Argentine U20 national team. He represented this particular age group on 13 occasions, scoring a single goal in the process.
