France striker Marcus Thuram credits Inter Milan for improving his game while revealing what Kylian Mbappé had predicted for him.

The 26-year-old was on target on Saturday night as Les Bleus routed Gibraltar by a whopping 14 unanswered goals.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach man seized the opportunity to score his second goal for the French senior team.

The French media heaped praise on the Nerazzurri striker who has been showcasing vast improvement lately.

For his part, Thuram gave props for his new club. He believes playing with a top side helped him develop his game.

“The goal is very important for my confidence,” said the Inter striker during his post-match appearance on Téléfoot via FcInterNews.

“I work hard and I know that I play at a big club with important matches every weekend. So I’m certainly becoming a better player.”

“Deschamps insists on the fact that you have to be devastating in front of goal.

“A striker must finish actions, score goals, and be decisive because he knows that in Italy that’s what they ask of a number 9.”

Thuram also reveals that Kylian Mbappé had long envisioned a future for him as a centre-forward.

“Kylian and I have known each other since we were little. We were together at Clairefontaine.

“He always told me that I would end up being a number 9. He felt it, he knows my qualities and what I’m capable of.

“I feel better on all levels, as a player and as a number 9 who learns new facets of his game every day.”

Thuram joined Inter as a free agent in the summer and has been delivering impressive displays since the start of the season.
