Udinese star Sandi Lovric praises Samir Handanovic tenure with Nerazzurri tipping Inter Milan as favorites to win Serie A title this season.
The former Lugano midfielder had nothing but praise for the former Inter Milan captain in an interview with The Italian Football Podcast.
“Samir [Handanovic] and Jojo [Ilicic] did things in Italy that were extraordinary. They opened the door for us to have a good name in Italy” Lovric began.
“Now it is up to us, me and Jaka [Bijol] to continue this trip for the next Slovenians that will come.
“It is always special; you always represent a country behind you, and you give 100% to give a good impact. The guys before us did very, very good” Lovric added.

The former Sturm Graz believes Inter Milan are favorites to win the Serie A this season, but added it is a tough question to answer.
“Good question” Lovric began when asked who he thinks will win this season’s Scudetto.
“It is very difficult to say but I think Inter are the favorites in this moment” he continued.
Lovric also praised Lazar Samardzic, who was linked with a move to Inter this past summer. That transfer fell apart in spectacular fashion.
“I think Lazar has already shown his massive talent on the pitch. He is of course still young and still has time to improve to show even more of his talent.
“But when he has the ball at his feet you can see the quality and the feeling on the ball, this is something special” Lovric concluded.
Lovric, who has been capped 32 times for Slovenia scoring four goals, also tipped Inter to win this season’s Serie A title.
Sandi Lovric signed a five year deal with Udinese in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer.
Since making the move he has featured 43 times across all competitions, scoring six times in the process.
