Inter Milan have reportedly registered a significant revenue increase in the first quarter of the 2023/24 season.
The Nerazzurri’s board of directors held a meeting this morning at the club’s headquarters in Viale della Liberazione.
Inter president Steven Zhang attended through a video call, reveals La Gazzetta dello Sport.
As we reported earlier, the meeting witnessed the announcement of Beppe Marotta’s contract renewal. The Inter CEO has reportedly extended his deal until 2027.
On another note, the Pink newspaper reveals that the board approved the financial statement for the first trimester of the season.
As the source reveals, the club recorded positive figures between July and September.
The Nerazzurri registered a turnover of 166 million euros in the first three months of the season.
The report explains that this figure exceeds last season’s revenues (from the same period) by 60 million.
Therefore, Inter have recorded a revenue increase of 36% compared to the previous campaign.
Inter Milan Have Registered 36% Revenue Increase In The First Trimester Of The Season
The source explains this improvement by pointing toward two significant operations.
The first is Andre Onana’s sale to Man United. The Cameroonian goalkeeper signed for Inter as a free agent in the summer of 2022 before joining the Red Devils a year later in a transfer that exceeded 50 million euros.
The second operation is selling Marcelo Brozovic to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.
Moreover, Inter have increased their revenues from other financial streams, including matchday revenues, TV rights and “licensing & retail”.
