Veteran forwards Alexis Sanchez and Marko Arnautovic will lead the line for Inter Milan against Benfica in the Champions League tomorrow.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who predict the Nerazzurri’s starting lineup for the group stage match.

One thing that looks clear is that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will rotate his starting eleven significantly tomorrow.

The reasons are not hard to see.

Inter have already secured their spot in the round of sixteen in the Champions League. There is still top spot in the group to fight for, but the main objective is already achieved.

Meanwhile, in the league it is a different story.

Inter played out a tense, taxing Serie A draw away to Juventus over the weekend.

And next Sunday they will play their second of two away matches against title rivals. Inter travel to Naples to face reigning Italian champions Napoli.

Therefore, Inzaghi will naturally place some priority on the league in terms of his team selection.

And according to Mediaset, that will be very visible in the attack that starts tomorrow against Benfica.

Marko Arnautovic & Alexis Sanchez To Start For Inter Vs Benfica

First of all, former West Ham United, Stoke City, and Bologna striker Arnautovic should start, Mediaset reports.

The Austrian has been fit for a few weeks now. He recovered from a thigh strain that had sidelined him for around a month and a half.

Arnautovic has already made a couple of substitute appearances since coming back from his injury.

Sunday’s match away to Juventus was among them.

And tomorrow, Arnautovic will start against Benfica, Mediaset report.

Playing alongside the 34-year-old will be Alexis Sanchez, the broadcaster adds.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United veteran’s fitness has been a bit of a doubt.

Sanchez was not part of the squad for Sunday’s match in Turin. This was due to a slight ankle sprain that he picked up on international duty with Chile.

But according to Mediaset, Sanchez will be back and ready to start tomorrow.

This will allow both Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram to rest from the start.
