Albania coach Sylvinho feels that he wouldn’t recommend midfielder Kristjan Asllani leave Inter Milan in search of more playing time.

Speaking to the Chronachie di Spogliatoio, via FCInterNews, the Albania coach gave his thoughts on the 21-year-old Nerazzurri midfielder’s situation.

Asllani has not always found playing time easy to come by since his move to Inter in the summer of 2022.

The Albanian was always likely to have a backup role in the team. At least initially.

But the hope seemed to be that the former Empoli midfielder would be able to build on that.

There has been some evidence of that in the first months of the current season.

Asllani has had a few standout moments with the opportunities that he’s been given.

The 21-year-old’s diagonal pass to set up a winner in a Serie A match against Roma last month certainly stands out.

But it would still be hard to say that Asllani is a key player for Inter.

Therefore, there have been some suggestions that the Albanian could benefit for a spell at a different club. Even if this were just to be on loan, he could play more often.

But for his part, Albania coach Sylvinho doesn’t necessarily feel that this is the case.

Albania Coach Sylvinho: Wouldn’t Ever Tell Kristjan Asllani To Leave Inter

“I would never tell Asllani to leave Inter for more playing time,” Sylvinho said.

“The only thing I care about is how he plays with us in the national team,” he added.

“And he’s proven to be a great player for us,” the coach made clear of the 21-year-old midfielder.

Sylvinho also reflected that “Football is complex. But the more you know about the tactics, the easier it becomes.”

“And in that respect, Serie A is the best school there is,” he added.
