Referee Davide Massa will take charge of Sunday evening’s Serie A match between Napoli and Inter Milan.

The Lega Serie A confirm a complete list of officials for the upcoming round of fixtures, via FCInterNews. Valerio Marini will be on VAR duty for the match at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Inter have another massive league match just around the corner.

The Nerazzurri just faced Juventus in Turin, coming away with a 1-1 draw.

But things don’t get much easier for Inter.

On Sunday evening Simone Inzaghi’s team travel to Campania to take on reigning Italian champions Napoli.

It has not been the best of starts to the season for the Partenopei.

This led to the dismissal of Rudi Garcia as head coach during the international break. Veteran former Nerazzurri, Torino, and Watford replaced the Frenchman – in his second spell at Napoli.

Napoli got off to a good start to life under Mazzarri last weekend. They beat Atalanta in Bergamo.

So there is some momentum and cause for optimism in the Partenopei camp.

It will therefore be a major test for Inter’s Serie A title credentials.

Last season, Inter beat Napoli at the San Siro – the first defeat that the Partenopei suffered in the league that campaign.

Then in the reverse fixture, it was the Campanian team who took three points.

The referee for Sunday’s match will be Davide Massa.

Assisting Massa in his duties will be Davide Imperiale and Luca Mondin.

The role of the fourth official, meanwhile, will fall to Antonio Rapuano.

In the VAR booth, Valerio Marini will oversee the match to ensure to correct any errors by the on-pitch officials.

Assisting Marini in his duties will be Maurizio Mariani.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than refereeing controversy.
