Inter Milan striker Alexis Sanchez dismisses international retirement in the near future, as he plans to continue to serve Chile.

The 34-year-old is the most-capped player in the history of the Chilean national team with 155 appearances.

He’s also La Roja’s all-time leading goalscorer with 51 strikes to his name.

The Nerazzurri striker also led his nation toward back-to-back Copa America triumphs in 2015 and 2016.

But while many stars decide to retire from international duty in the autumn of their playing careers, Sanchez remains loyal to the cause.

The former Barcelona, Arsenal and Man United star insists that he remains in great physical shape. Thus, he’s still able to offer his contribution for both club and country.

“I still haven’t fully grasped what I accomplished for La Roja,” said Sanchez in his interview with DAZN via FcInterNews.

“I scored more goals and provided more assists than anyone else. I have broken all the records.

“Yet, I’m still a Chile player. I don’t think about my past achievements. I’m still in good shape, I feel great.

“But one day I’ll say, ‘I hope someone breaks my records.'”

The experienced striker made his return to Inter following a positive campaign at Marseille. His first stint at Appiano Gentile lasted between 2019 and 2022.

The Chilean has made ten appearances for the Nerazzurri across all competitions this season. He contributed with two goals, both coming in the Champions League.
