Athletico Paranaense’s Bento and Frosinone’s Stefano Turati are among Inter Milan’s targets in goal if they don’t sign Emil Audero permanently.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
At the moment, the hierarchy is quite clear between the posts at Inter.
Yann Sommer is the first-choice option, having arrived from Bayern Munich in the summer.
And former Juventus keeper Audero is the backup option. The 26-year-old joined Inter on loan from Sampdoria following the Blucerchiati’s relegation to Serie B.
Audero made his first ever appearance for Inter during the week.
The Sampdoria-owned keeper started in the Champions League against Benfica.
But Sommer will certainly be back in the lineup for tomorrow’s match against Napoli. And the sense is very much that the Swiss is still the main man for the big matches.
Bento & Turati Inter Targets If Audero Loan Isn’t Made Permanent
Inter have the option to sign Audero on a permanent basis next summer.
And the Nerazzurri could very well decide to keep hold of the Italian.
But at the moment there is no certainty that they will do so.
And naturally, if Inter do not sign Audero permanently for the start of next season, they will need to find a new keeper to back up Sommer.
And according to Tuttosport, there are two main names on the Nerazzurri’s list.
One is that of Paranaense keeper Bento.
The Brazilian has been on Inter’s radar since at least the summer.
And the contacts with the 24-year-old’s representatives are reportedly still ongoing.
And another name that Inter are considering is young Frosinone keeper Turati.
Owned by Sassuolo, the 22-year-old is currently on loan with the Giallazzurri.
So far Turati has been a fixture in Frosinone’s starting eleven under Eusebio Di Francesco.
The young Italian could represent a young option with potential to grow in goal for Inter.
