Inter Milan are getting ready to offer Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski a four-year contract to join on a free transfer next summer.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, report that the Nerazzurri could offer the 29-year-old Polish international a deal worth €4-4.5 million net per season plus add-ons.

At the moment, Zielinski’s contract with Napoli runs out at the end of next June.

The Partenopei have offered the Pole an extension. It is a three-year deal until the end of June 2026, worth €3 million net per season.

That is less than the €4 million net per season which Zielinski currently earns.

And so far, the response from the midfielder has been negative.

Therefore, Inter are sensing a possible opportunity.

Signing a player in Zielinski’s circumstances would certainly represent a major coup for the Nerazzurri.

The Pole has extensive Serie A experience. He has over four hundred appearances in the Italian top flight, having joined Napoli in 2016 and prior to that played for the likes of Udinese and Empoli.

And Zielinski’s quality is hardly in question, The 29-year-old was a key man for Napoli as they won the Serie A title last season.

Lastly, Zielinski would arrive still in his peak, rather than as an aging veteran.

Inter Ready To Offer Napoli Midfielder Piotr Zielinski A Four-Year Deal

Increasingly feeling that they could sign Zielinski, Inter are ready to meet the Pole’s financial demands.

The Nerazzurri would put a four-year deal until the end of June 2027 on the table. And the wages on offer would be €4-4.5 million net per season, plus add-ons.

Inter see Zielinski as a replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan as the former Arsenal and Roma midfielder is phased out of the team.

Tuttosport note that Monza midfielder Andrea Colpani is Inter’s top target in midfield.

But the 24-year-old would likely carry a significant transfer fee.

Therefore Zielinski on a free transfer would be more within reach on a financial level.
