Inter Milan Manager Simone Inzaghi Picked Among Best 20 Coaches In The World – Man City & Liverpool Coaches Top The List

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has been chosen among the Best 20 coaches in the world, while Man City boss Pep Guardiola tops the list.

British football magazine FourFourTwo revealed its list for the Top 50 managers in the world.

According to FcInterNews, the magazine placed Inzaghi in 20th place.

The 47-year-old lifted the Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup trophy last season. He also guided the club toward the Champions League final before succumbing to defeat at the hands of Man City.

However, the former Lazio manager would have certainly landed in a higher spot if it wasn’t for Inter’s underwhelming league campaign. The Beneamata finished third in the standings after conceding 12 losses.

Nevertheless, Inter are looking to make up for last season’s league shortcomings. They currently sit on top of the Serie A table after 14 rounds.

Inzaghi landed just behind Imanol Alguacil who’s ironically his next opponent in the Champions League. The Spaniard earned his spot after guiding Real Sociedad back to Europe’s elite club competition.

The source adds that Pep Guardiola clinched the top spot following a historic campaign.

The Spaniard led Manchester City to an unprecedented treble. The Cityzens won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League under the guidance of the former Barcelona boss.

Guardiola pipped Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti for the accolade.

Moreover, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi earned an impressive eighth place on the list.
