Defenders Alessandro Bastoni and Yann Bisseck will start for Inter Milan in this evening’s Serie A match against Udinese.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate that it will be the strongest Nerazzurri team available from the start.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi knows that his team must produce a response to yesterday’s win by Juventus.

The Bianconeri’s narrow victory over Napoli means that they are temporarily top of the Serie A table.

Therefore, if Inter want to regain their spot at the top they needed a win.

And as such, Inzaghi is not thinking about rotating his team.

Even with the fixture list ahead – matches against Real Sociedad in the Champions League and Lazio in the league are on the way in the space of a week – Inzaghi wants his best team available to him out on the pitch this evening.

Bastoni & Bisseck To Start In Defense For Inter Vs Udinese

In most areas of the pitch, there is little uncertainty regarding who the “first-choice” starters will be.

But in defense, an injury crisis means that Inzaghi will actually have some decisions to make.

The coach must do without Stefan de Vrij and Benjamin Pavard. And Matteo Darmian will start on the right flank due to an injury to Denzel Dumfries.

The big news is that Alessandro Bastoni is likely to start, the Gazzetta reports.

The Italian is only just back from injury. He returned to full training on Thursday.

Bastoni had missed matches against Juventus, Benfica, and Napoli whilst recovering from a calf problem.

But the 24-year-old is back. And he is ready to play from the start, as Inzaghi wants to put out a very strong back three despite the injuries.

That will also mean that Bastoni’s fellow Italian international Francesco Acerbi starts in the centre of defense.

And on the right, Germany Under-21 international Bisseck will start.

The 23-year-old will be making his first Serie A start. He has previously started two matches in the Champions League.
