Lautaro Martinez has confirmed that he is not far away from signing a contract extension with Inter Milan.

The Argentine spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN after the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 Serie A win over Udinese, via FCInterNews. He also gave his reaction to the match.

Martinez got on the scoresheet for the sixteen time in all competitions this season.

The 26-year-old scored in the second half to round off Inter’s emphatic win over Udinese.

This was just the latest illustration of Martinez’s consistency.

Therefore, there is little surprise the Inter are keen to extend Martinez’s contract. The former Racing Club striker has in fact been wearing the captain’s armband since the start of this season.

Meanwhile, Martinez himself has made no secret of the fact that he wants to stay.

And the Argentine has given yet another confirmation.

Moreover, Martinez has indicated that the wait for a new deal to be made official should not be long at all.
