Striker Marcus Thuram has been praised for putting in an excellent second half performance for Inter Milan against Udinese.

Italian news outlet L’Interista highlight the positive scores for the Frenchman in the player ratings for the match across Italian media. His impact in the second half was particularly praised.

Thuram did not necessarily have his most impactful performance in the first half of yesterday’s match.

The 26-year-old was certainly full of running. But for much of the first 45 minutes, he was not able to provide the finishing touch to any of Inter’s attack.

But just a couple minutes before the break, Thuram found his goal.

The World Cup finalist made no mistake with his effort from a few yards out, timing his run to perfection and then arrowing the ball past Friulani goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.

And that goal seemed to unlock something in Thuram during the second half.

Marcus Thuram Praised For Second Half Performance In Inter Win Vs Udinese

Thuram’s goal was the one that really gave Inter breathing room in the context of yesterday’s match.

The Frenchman scored the third goal of the match.

It was certainly always going to be difficult for Udinese to come back from 3-0 down and get anything from the match.

And in the second half, Thuram did his part to make it absolutely certain that the Friulani would not do so.

The French international surged in confidence, running at the Udinese defender.

Even though Thuram did not get another goal, that was hardly necessary at that point in the match.

Instead, the Inter striker had an important place in the effort of keeping Udinese on the back foot.

It was a good demonstration of how Thuram’s pace and technical ability can be useful for more than just attacking per se. He never relented until coming off for Marko Arnautovic.
