Inter Milan club captain Lautaro Martinez will reportedly sign a contract extension by Christmas alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Federico Dimarco.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the management is looking to stabilize the current project by securing the services of key players on a long-term deal.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly found an agreement with Lautaro Martinez who will ink a new deal. The Argentine will push back the deadline from 2026 to 2028.

Moreover, the 26-year-old will earn a pay rise. His new contract will see him pocket 8 million euros per season plus bonuses.

The 2022 World Cup winner has now established himself as the main talisman at the club. Since inheriting the captain’s armband in the summer, he has been on a sensational form. He has thus far scored 16 goals across all competitions this season.

As for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, his contract will expire at the end of the season.

Nevertheless, Inter have no plans to part ways with the Armenian veteran. The 34-year-old has carved himself a special place in Simone Inzaghi’s tactical jigsaw.
