Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is facing a selection headache ahead of the match against Lazio but appears to favor Yann Bisseck over Carlos Augusto.

The Nerazzurri manager is currently without his two main options for the right wingback role.

Denzel Dumfries is the ultimate first choice in Inzaghi’s pecking order but he remains out of action for another couple of weeks.

Juan Cuadrado joined the club in the summer to act as the Dutchman’s understudy. However, the 35-year-old has been dealing with an Achilles tendon issue since September. His condition requires surgery, which will rule him out for several months.

So according to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews, Inzaghi will have to choose between Bisseck and Carlos Augusto for Sunday’s clash against Lazio.

The German appears to be the favorite to join Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni at the back. In this case, Matteo Darmian will cover on the right flank.

On the other hand, Augusto is proving himself to be a versatile player. The Brazilian is originally a left wingback, but he recently played as a left centre-back.

Therefore, the source suggests the former Monza star as an option on the right side.

If Inzaghi were to deploy Augusto on the opposite flank, Darmian could return to the backline.

Nevertheless, the Roman newspaper expects the manager to give the nod to Bisseck.

Elsewhere, Nicolo Barella should regain his starting berth in midfield alongside Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Federico Dimarco maintains his starting spot on the left side while Lautaro Martinez and Marcus lead the line.
