Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez acknowledges his team’s past mistakes while urging his teammates to remain on the right path.

The Nerazzurri captain continued his brilliant run of form by scoring once again, this time at Lazio’s expense.

Adam Marusic gifted the 26-year-old a golden opportunity with a terrible backpass. Martinez made the most out of it, maintaining his composure to beat Ivan Provedel and place the ball in the net.

This opening goal put the Nerazzurri on track to victory, while Marcus Thuram’s strike consolidated the win.

Martinez dedicated his goal to his hometown of Bahia Blanca which suffered a tragedy over the weekend due to a raging storm.

“We endured a difficult night. I was worried about my family and the people of Bahia Blanca. This goal is for them,” said the club captain in his post-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews.

“We brought home an important victory and I’m happy about that.”
