Davy Klaassen, Kristjan Asllani, and Marko Arnautovic will be among six changes to Inter Milan’s starting eleven to face Bologna this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is thinking about significant squad rotation in this evening’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen match against Bologna.

Naturally, the coach will be aiming to rest some key players, at least from the start.

Inter only just played on Sunday but are back in action already. And then, in just three days’ time, the Nerazzurri face Lecce in Serie A.

So Inzaghi will make not burning players out amid this packed fixture list into a major priority.

And according to the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri coach plans to make a total of six changes to the starting eleven that beat Lazio 2-0 in Serie A over the weekend.

Klaassen, Asllani & Marko Arnautovic To Start For Inter Vs Bologna

Perhaps the most eye-catching changes will come in midfield.

Inzaghi plans to completely change up the central trio.

The first-choice midfield of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Hakan Calhanoglu started against the Biancocelesti on Sunday.

But this evening, former Everton veteran Klaassen and former Empoli midfielder Asllani will come into the team in their places. Italian international Davide Frattesi will complete the trio.

Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic is set to start against his old team Bologna.

The 34-year-old former West Ham United and Stoke City striker will take the place of Marcus Thuram starting alongside Lautaro Martinez.

Emil Audero will get his second ever start for the Nerazzurri in goal.

And on the left flank, Carlos Augusto will replace Federico Dimarco.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted Inter lineup for the match is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Audero; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Frattesi, Asllani, Klaassen, Carlos Augusto; Arnautovic, Lautaro.
