Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto was the best performer among Simone Inzaghi’s men in the defeat at the hands of Bologna.

The Nerazzurri entered the Coppa Italia as the title holders. However, their defense campaign only lasted 120 minutes.

The Beneamata hosted Bologna at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium for the Round of 16. Inzaghi’s side dominated the action for most of the match, but the score remained goalless by the end of normal time.

Inter breathed a sigh of relief when Carlos Augusto scored the opener at the start of extra time. However, the Rossoblu stunned their hosts by scoring twice in the last eight minutes.
