Defender Yann Bisseck feels that playing for Inter Milan is a “dream” that he couldn’t have expected even a couple years ago.
The German spoke in the official matchday programme for this evening’s Serie A match against Lazio. He said that the Nerazzurri are one of the biggest clubs in the world.
23-year-old Bisseck has been catching the eye with a string of recent performances.
The German had not exactly hit the ground running upon joining Inter from Danish side Aarhus during the summer transfer window.
In his first few months at the Nerazzurri, Bisseck had only a peripheral role.
But then the 23-year-old got a couple starts in the Champions League, in which he was able to build hi confidence.
And some injuries in defense have handed Bisseck his chance in the past couple weeks.
The Germany Under-21 international has taken that opportunity with both hands,
Bisseck may lack experience that many of his teammates have. But the young defender is still proving to be able to fit in at Inter with his recent displays.
Yann Bisseck: Playing For Inter A “Dream”
Bisseck said that “Inter is one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
“Until two years ago I wouldn’t have ever imagined playing for such a big club,” he continued, “It was a dream come true.”
The German went on that “My philosophy is that you have to enjoy every match.”
“Playing in front of the Inter fans who fill the stadium every match is a privilege,” Bisseck said.
“It’s something that every player would like to experience. And this, for me, is the real motivation to always give my best.”
Bisseck also gave his thoughts on which former Inter players he admires the most.
“Inter has had a long series of incredible players in its history.” the German said.
“If I have to choose one I’d say Samuel Eto’o, for his Cameroonian origins and for his legacy here. And then after him, I’d say Il Principe Diego Milito.”
