Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Federico Dimarco, Lautaro Martinez, and Nicolo Barella – Inter Milan line up four major contract extensions.

Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, anticipate the timeline for those four new contracts over the coming weeks and months.

Inter are looking to extend the contracts of a few key members of their starting eleven.

The talks are ongoing. And in a couple of instances, they should reach their conclusion by seeing the players put pen to paper on a new contract very soon.

First there is veteran midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Armenian former Arsenal and Roma midfielder’s current contract runs out at the end of next June.

Therefore, Mkhitaryan must sign a new deal if he is to stay at Inter next season.

And according to Sky, that is all set to happen. It should even arrive before the end of this month.

Inter want to waste no more time in tying down the 34-year-old’s future.

And then another big extension that could come before the end of 2023 is that of wingback Dimarco.

The 26-year-old is currently under contract with Inter until the end of June 2026. But Inter want to add a couple years to that deal, and reward Dimarco with a pay raise.

Not Just Mkhitaryan & Barella – Lautaro & Barella Also On The Way At Inter

Inter captain Lautaro Martinez will not be putting pen to paper on a new contract before the end of 2023, Sky reports.

But it won’t be too long after that.

In the first two or three weeks of 2024, Inter could make a new deal for the Argentine official.

Then it will be the turn of midfielder Barella.

The Italian international’s current contract runs out at the end of June 2026. That’s the same as Dimarco and Martinez.

And Inter want to hand Barella a new contract until the end of June 2028 like his two teammates.

All three are currently 26 years old, and pillars of Inter’s starting eleven.

So once new deals for Mkhitaryan, Dimarco, and Martinez are wrapped up, Inter will turn to Barella. A new contract for the ex-Cagliari midfielder is a priority for 2024.
