Inter Milan are not surprised by the recent form of defender Yann Bisseck, even if nearly everyone else has been.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

23-year-old German youth team international Bisseck has been one of Inter’s outstanding players in recent matches.

The young defender has showcased a confident, front-foot style of defending that has perfectly suited his current role on the right of the Nerazzurri’s back three.

In and out of possession, Bisseck has appeared to have far more experience than he in reality does.

This has caught many by surprise. Bisseck was a player who few people had even heard of when Inter signed him from Danish side Aarhus during the summer.

And over the first few months of the season, the German was more or less a fringe player in Inter’s squad.

Inter Not Surprised By Form Of Yann Bisseck

Naturally, the fact that Bisseck has burst onto the scene in the manner that he has done has raised eyebrows.

It has seems as though the German has come out of nowhere for most observers.

But that hasn’t been the case for Inter.

The Nerazzurri’s board of directors always saw Bisseck as a player capable of making the kind of impact that he has been doing.

The 23-year-old’s maturity for his age is in fact one of the qualities that attracted Inter to him.

Even though prior to this season Bisseck had only really played youth team football, he had done so as captain of Germany’s Under-21s.

From Inter’s perspective, Bisseck always looked like exactly the sort of young player with the attributes to make the step up to senior football relatively quickly.

And so far, it has proven to be exactly that way.

From the outside, Bisseck’s recent form may look like a gamble of an investment in a youngster paying off.

But from inside the club, this is the trajectory Inter always envisioned for the young defender.
