Former Lazio goalkeeper Luca Marchegiani feels that there’s a “big difference” between Inter Milan and Juventus in the Serie A title race.

Marchegiani highlighted the difference between the two sides whilst speaking on Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

Four points currently separate Inter and Juventus in the top two spots of the Serie A table.

Meanwhile, other rivals like AC Milan and Napoli are much further back in the distance.

The sense is therefore that it has already become a two-horse race for the Italian title.

And just as important as the current gap between the two sides will be their consistency and ruthlessness over the next few months.

Four points is a bit of a cushion for Inter. But not much of one.

The Bianconeri would certainly be capable of catching up within a week or two should Inter slip up.

But in the view of former Lazio and Torino keeper Marchegiani, that’s not very likely. He believes that Inter have shown something that Juventus have not really been able to so far during the campaign.

Marchegiani Highlights “Big Difference” Between Inter & Juventus

“Inter won against Lecce even without really getting out of second gear,” Marchegiani argued.

“Meanwhile, Juventus struggled.”

The former keeper argued that “At the moment, that’s precisely the big difference between the two of them.”

“Juve are keeping pace with Inter, but inspiring less confidence,” Marchegianti argued “That seems quite evident to me.”

“Teams that win the Scudetto are like that,” he argued. “Like Inzaghi’s.”

“Maybe they don’t always win by scoring four goals and dominating the other team. But they never give the opponent a reason to complain about the result.”

“Allegri’s team, on the other hand, never has control of the match,” the former keeper said.

He argued that “Even in Frosinone, it was an even match.”

“And it can’t be like that.”

Marchegiani said that “I don’t want to be too critical, because if today there’s still a title race it’s thanks to Juve. But I expect more control from the Bianconeri.”
