Striker Marcus Thuram has emerged as a superstar worth no less than €70 million just six months after his arrival at Inter Milan for free.

French news outlet Sport.fr highlight the 26-year-old’s remarkable start to life in a Nerazzurri shirt.

It is not as though Thuram was an unknown player when Inter signed him.

The Frenchman had, after all, played in the World Cup final last winter.

Thuram’s growth over the course of four seasons at Borussia Monchengladbach had caused several clubs to sit up and take notice.

Among these were Bayern Munich, Manchester United, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain.

But in the end it was Inter who won the race for Thuram’s signature.

A combination of the Nerazzurri convincing the France international that their project was right for him, and the other big clubs not pushing as hard to sign him cleared the way,

And after just half a year, it looks clear that Inter pulled off a major coup by signing Thuram.

Marcus Thuram – From Free Transfer To €70M Superstar

Thuram is certainly not a player who Inter will want to sell any time soon.

The Frenchman has already established himself as one of the most important players in the Nerazzurri’s lineup.

But if Inter were to listen to offers for Thuram, they would expect big money. There is no doubt about that.

Thuram is currently under contract with Inter until the end of June 2028.

There is little pressure for the Nerazzurri to sell the 26-year-old.

And furthermore, the player himself appears more than content where he is. It has proved to be an ideal marriage between striker and club to facilitate a new leap in form.

Therefore, if any club were to want to even make Inter answer the phone, an offer of at least €70 million would surely be necessary, Sport.fr suggest.

And even that would probably be too low.

Inter will know that Thuram has the chance to get even better and more valuable. And that for the foreseeable future, he may well be worth more to them on the pitch than in the transfer market.
