Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi pays tribute to an unforgettable year for himself and the club ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Genoa.

The Nerazzurri travel to Liguria to take on the Grifone at the Luigi Ferraris in their final fixture of 2023.

The 47-year-old expects a tough challenge against a side that has been vastly impressive at home this season.

However, Inzaghi insists that Inter will play their game regardless of how Genoa line up.

“It will be a hard-fought match. Genoa are enjoying an excellent period,” said the Nerazzurri manager in his pre-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews.

“They have quality players and a mature coach who is doing well. We will have to play a careful match but with great intensity.

“Clearly, our principles will always remain the same. Genoa have different solutions and will be able to count on important players who return from injuries.

“We’ll see how they take the field, but our playing mentality will be the same.”

Inzaghi dwells on the squad’s solidity, insisting that his players are very fond of one another.

“We are satisfied with our results after these 17 rounds. We still have 21 to go so we will have to maintain our positive numbers in attack and defense.

“The secret is the great dedication the players are showing.

“The group is very solid. The lads love each other and are all happy to be part of the squad.

“We witnessed a wonderful collective embrace following Barella’s goal. We must continue on this path. The solidity of the group is very important.”
