Club Brugge and Canada winger Tajon Buchanan will undergo his medicals on a transfer to Inter Milan on Wednesday.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it.

Inter are not waiting around to sign Buchanan as cover on the right flank.

The Nerazzurri have been in direct negotiations with the 24-year-old’s club Brugge for a number of days now.

Considering the absence of Juan Cuadrado as well as continued fitness issues for Denzel Dumfries, Inter want to get Buchananan in right at the start of the January transfer window.

That way, the Canadian can start to settle in immediately.

Inter have been hoping to have Buchanan in their squad for as early as next weekend’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona.

And according to the Gazzetta, there is now a very good chance of that.

Tajon Buchanan Set For Inter Medicals On Wednesday

Inter have now essentially sealed the agreement with both Brugge and Buchanan, the Gazzetta report.

In terms of a transfer fee, the Nerazzurri will pay the Belgians around €8 million to sign Buchanan.

And on the player’s end, the 24-year-old is ready to sign a contract until the end of June 2028. This would see him earn around €1.5 million net per season.

With the January transfer window now all but open, Inter have completely lined up Buchanan’s move.

Therefore, the only thing left would appear to be the final formalities.

The first will be medicals on the move. And the Gazzetta anticipate a specific date for these.

Buchanan will be in Italy on Wednesday, the third of January. He will undergo his medicals.

And following this, the Canadian international can sign his new contract with Inter.

It should not be long at all. Buchanan will become an Inter player within the next few days, barring any more twists in the transfer saga.
