Inter Milan are keen to complete the signing of Club Brugge wingback Tajon Buchanan before Saturday’s Serie A match against Hellas Verona.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.

nter are not waiting around to sign Buchanan as cover on the right flank.

The Nerazzurri have been in direct negotiations with the 24-year-old’s club Brugge for a number of days now.

Considering the absence of Juan Cuadrado as well as continued fitness issues for Denzel Dumfries, Inter want to get Buchananan in right at the start of the January transfer window.

That way, the Canadian can start to settle in immediately.

Inter Want To Sign Tajon Buchanan In Time For Verona Clash

Inter have now essentially sealed the agreement with both Brugge and Buchanan, Mediaset report.

In terms of a transfer fee, the Nerazzurri will pay the Belgians around €8 million to sign Buchanan.

And on the player’s end, the 24-year-old is ready to sign a contract until the end of June 2028. This would see him earn around €1.5 million net per season.

With the January transfer window now all but open, Inter have completely lined up Buchanan’s move.

Therefore, the only thing left would appear to be the final formalities.

Mediaset confirm that Buchanan should be in Milano to complete his medicals in time for Inter’s next Serie A match.

The Canadian should arrive either or Tuesday or Wednesday.

That should give Buchanan enough time to get up to speed for the weekend.

The Nerazzurri host Verona at the San Siro for their first engagement of 2024.

And there could be a new face in the team in the form of Buchanan.

Naturally, it is not as though the 24-year-old will start on Saturday.

But the winger could already have the chance to make his debut off the bench. And then, there could be more in store from him with a packed fixture list to come.
