Signs look positive for the fitness of Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez and wingback Federico Dimarco ahead of Saturday evening’s match against Hellas Verona.

Italian news outlet FCInter1908 report that the pair worked individually in training ahead of the Serie A clash. But their injury recoveries are progressing well.

Martinez and Dimarco have both missed Inter’s last two matches.

The pair were out of the team in Serie A matches at home to Lecce and away to Genoa.

Whilst their absence wasn’t felt too much as the team beat Lecce, the draw away to the Rossoblu certainly saw the Nerazzurri struggle to find their best without two key starters in the side.

In attack, Marcus Thuram was not able to play at his best without his usual strike partner.

And whilst Brazilian international Carlos Augusto has had some impressive performances this season, against Genoa was not one of them.

Augusto struggled to really act as a creative outlet the way Dimarco.

As such, the Nerazzurri did not manage their usual quality on the left.

Lautaro & Dimarco Looking Positive Ahead Of Hellas Verona Clash

Naturally, Inter will want both of Martinez and Dimarco back as soon as possible.

And according to FCIN1908, the signs look positive.

Neither of the duo were able to make a full return to training today. They worked individually on their recovery programs rather than training with the rest of their teammates.

But a return to full training should not be too far away for either of them.

There is a good chance of both Martinez and Dimarco being available to face Verona.

Then the question could be whether they are ready to start the match, or just appear from the bench.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi may be reluctant to rust one or both key players back into the team.
