Inter Milan have made an offer of a three-year contract with an option of another season worth €3.5 million net per season to Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

This according to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews.

Inter are now moving fast in their pursuit of 29-year-old Polish international Zielinski.

The Nerazzurri have sensed a significant opportunity to sign the Napoli midfielder on a free transfer.

Zielinski’s contract with the Partenopei runs out at the end of June. And there has been no agreement on an extension.

Napoli do still hold out some hope of convincing Zielinski to sign a new deal.

But that is looking less and less likely by the day.

Therefore, the Pole can start to negotiate with other clubs. And it looks to be Inter who are in the strongest position to sign Zielinski when he becomes available next summer.

Inter Make Three-Year Contract Offer To Piotr Zielinski

Now that the January transfer window is open, players can start to negotiate on personal terms with clubs to join on free transfers in six months’ time.

And therefore, DAZN report, Inter have made their initial offer to Zielinski.

The Nerazzurri have put a three-year deal on the table. This would then contain the option of a further season, which would take the contract until the end of June 2028.

Inter have offered the Polish international wages of €3.5 million plus add-ons.

Now, it will be up to Zielinski and his representatives to give his response to Inter’s initial offer.

But the Nerazzurri, DAZN report, have certainly opened up negotiations.

And according to the broadcaster, Inter lead the way to sign Zielinski next summer.

Barring unforeseen developments, Zielinski will sign for Inter ahead of next season.

The former Empoli and Udinese will end an eight-year association with Napoli.
