Inter Milan are on the cusp of announcing the transfer of Tajon Buchanan. A report in the Italian media details the costs of the operation.

The 24-year-old landed in Italy this morning to finalize the move from Club Brugge.

The Canadian arrives as a direct replacement for Juan Cuadrado will miss several months of action after undergoing surgery in December.

Buchanan will be an additional option for Simone Inzaghi on the right flank. But how much will his arrival cost?

The winger will reportedly sign a four-and-a-half-year contract, so Calcio e Finanza makes the calculations based on this notion.

The source believes Buchanan’s arrival will weigh 780,000 euros on the club’s budget in terms of amortization.

This figure will rise to 1.76 million euros starting next season.

As for the player’s wages, the Canadian should collect around 1.5 million per year as net wages. This means his gross salary should reach 2.78M since the club can no longer count on the Growth Decree which has been recently abolished.

For the final six months of the current campaign, Buchanan’s gross salary should cost the club 1.39 million euros.

So between the player’s wages and amortization cost, his arrival will weigh 2.17 million euros on the balance sheet for the 2023/24 campaign.

Tajon Buchanan Will Cost Inter Milan More Than 4 Million Euros Starting Next Season

This sum will rise to 4.3 million starting the 2024/25 season after counting his salary and amortization cost for the entire season.

Buchanan is a Canadian international player who earned some recognition during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He has 35 caps to his name, scoring four international goals in the process.
