Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido Carrasco opened up on the negotiations with Inter Milan young midfielder Lucien Agoume.

The 21-year-old is desperate to leave the Nerazzurri in January as he’s been starving for playing time.

The Frenchman is currently at the very bottom of Simone Inzaghi’s midfield pecking order. Thus, he only had one brief cameo since the start of the season, participating for a few minutes against Salernitana.

In the last few days, a tug-of-war between Sevilla and Olympique Marseille ensued for the young man’s services.

As we reported yesterday, Agoume was keeping the French side on hold while waiting for the Andalusians to make a concrete offer.

It appears that this maneuver irritated OM who decided to abandon the pursuit, leaving Sevilla as the main runner in the race.

Luckily for Agoume, it appears that the Spanish club is looking to fulfill his desire.

Sevilla Closing In On Agreement To Sign Inter Milan Midfielder Lucien Agoume

Sevilla’s president has announced that the negotiations are now in an advanced stage, even if they haven’t closed the deal yet.

“I have already said that we are in negotiations with Inter for Agoumé. As of today, the talks are still ongoing,” stated Carrasco in his interview with DAZN Espana via FcInterNews.

“The negotiations are at an advanced stage. But the operation isn’t closed yet.

“Our coach tells us what type of players he needs to bolster the squad and the sports management puts the names on the table.

“We’re working on purchases and sales. We will have an active winter market.”

Agoume joined Inter in the summer of 2019 after starting his career at Sochaux. He spent the last three campaigns on loan at Spezia, Brest and Troyes.
