Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi can hardly choose between his Serie A goals against Hellas Verona and AC Milan this season.

The Italian international spoke to InterTV, via FCInterNews, reacting to the Nerazzurri’s late win against Hellas Verona this afternoon.

Frattesi notched his second goal for Inter in Serie A, and his third overall this evening.

Both of the 24-year-old’s goals in the league have come in stoppage time of matches. But in other respects, they’ve been quite difference.

The Italian’s first ever goal for Inter was in a derby match against AC Milan.

That goal came on the biggest of occasions against high-quality opposition.

But on the other hand, it was Inter’s fifth goal in a 5-1 thrashing of their city rivals. In terms of the result, it was borderline trivial.

This afternoon’s goal was far, far more important to the team’s season considering that it gave Inter three points in a match that looked to be getting away from them.

The Nerazzurri needed the win given how closely Juventus are following behind them in the title race.

But rather than in a derby, this evening’s victory was against relegation-battlers Verona.

Frattesi: “Don’t Make Me Choose Between Verona & Milan Goals”

Asked whether this evening’s goal was better than that which he scored in the derby, Frattesi noted that “This one was more important for the result, so maybe…”

“But that one was great too… Don’t make me choose!”

“The group was amazing right from the start to the end,” Frattesi continued.

“If a team doesn’t have a great group at the core, they can never win a match like this. Even if we did have a bit of luck.”

As far as the difficult fixture list, Frattesi said “There are a lot of matches.”

“But we have a big group,” he continued. “And we’ll be able to manage it.”

“Then when you have fans like this behind you, everything else goes into the background.”
