Inter Milan have recorded the highest average attendance in Serie A so far this season.

This according to Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza. The outlet reports that the Nerazzurri are ahead of the likes of AC Milan and Roma in this figure.

One thing that has remained constant this season has been the level of fan support that Inter can rely on.

That is a continuation of a trend from the past several seasons.

Naturally, the relative success that the Nerazzurri have been enjoying on the pitch has contributed to this.

Last campaign, Inter reached the Champions League final. This meant a number of memorable European nights in front of the Nerazzurri faithful, including wins over Barcelona, Benfica, and in a derby clash with AC Milan in the semifinal of the competition.

And in Serie A, the Inter fans have also turned out in droves.

So far this season, the average home attendance for Inter has been the highest in Serie A.

Inter Beat Out AC Milan & Roma For Highest Attendances In Serie A

Inter’s strong form so far this season has certainly not hurt the attendance at the San Siro for Nerazzurri matches.

The momentum and atmosphere have only built the more that the fans have turned up.

As Calcio e Finanza notes, Inter’s home matches in the league have averaged 72,843 spectators so far this season.

City rivals AC Milan share a stadium with the Nerazzurri. But they do not attract quite as many spectators – 72,629.

Next up are Roma, with 61,961 spectators at their home matches on average.

Champions Napoli follow, as they total 47,051fans at home Serie A matches on average.

Despite sharing the Stadio Olimpico with Roma, Lazio’s average attendance is significantly lower than their city rivals – 44,167.

And Juventus have an average attendance of 40,116 in home Serie A matches.
