Inter Milan could reportedly reinvest the fee collected from the sale of Stefano Sensi to sign Luis Muriel in January.

As we reported earlier today, the Italian midfielder has given his consent for a move to Leicester City.

The 28-year-old’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season. But instead of losing his services for free at the end of the campaign, the Nerazzurri are looking to cash in on the benchwarmer, albeit for a relatively humble fee.

The Serie A leaders are looking to earn 2 million euros from the operation.

According to Sport Mediaset via FcInter1908, the management would then evaluate opportunities on the market, especially in attack.

One of the names that could be affordable for Inter is Luis Muriel.

The Colombian has been constantly linked with a move to the Giuseppe Meazza in the past.

The 32-year-old finds himself in a similar situation to Sensi, as his contract with Atalanta will expire in June.

Therefore, La Dea could be open for a sale in January.

Inter Milan Could Pursue Luis Muriel After Selling Stefano Sensi To Leicester City

The source believes that Muriel’s price tag should be reminiscent of Sensi’s. In other words, Inter might be able to sign the former Udinese and Sevilla man by simply reinvesting the fee received from the midfielder’s sale to Leicester.

Muriel has thus far made 15 appearances in Serie A this term, mostly coming in as a substitute. He only scored a couple of league goals, but his tally includes a superb backheel winner against AC Milan.

The Colombia international has been more prolific in the Europa League, netting four strikes from five outings.
