Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi has reportedly given his consent to join Leicester City who must present a concrete bid to the Nerazzurri.

This story has been rapidly developing over the past few days. The Foxes are apparently keen on adding the 28-year-old to their ranks.

The midfielder has been surplus to requirements at the club this season with six other players ahead of him in Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order. He only made four appearances across all competitions and has yet to start a match.

Nevertheless, Leicester manager Enzo Maresca has identified his compatriot as the right profile to bolster his middle of the park.

The East Midlands side is currently on top of the Championship table, 10 points ahead of its closest chaser. Therefore, the club is in line to secure a swift return to the Premier League.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin (via FcInter1908) has confirmed Leicester’s interest in the former Sassuolo man. He also reveals that the player has agreed to join the Foxes.

Biasin adds that the Nerazzurri are now waiting to receive a formal bid from their English counterparts.

Inter Milan Awaiting Leicester City’s Offer For Stefano Sensi

The Nerazzurri would be all in favor of selling the Italian midfielder six months before the expiry of his contract.

As we reported earlier, Inter would be willing to part ways with Sensi if they were to receive an offer worth 2 million euros.

The creative midfielder joined the Beneamata in the summer of 2019, but recurring injury problems derailed his progress.

He spent the last 18 months on loan between Sampdoria and Monza before rejoining Inzaghi’s ranks in the summer.
