Wingback Denzel Dumfries is the favourite to start for Inter Milan against Lazio in the Supercoppa Italiana on Friday.
This according to yesterday’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate that Alessandro Bastoni will drop to the bench,
Inter are currently in Saudi Arabia. The Nerazzurri’s preparations for the Supercoppa are now well underway.
Inter will face Lazio in the semifinal of the competition at the end of this week.
Then the winner of that match will take on either Napoli or Fiorentina in the final of the competition.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has every intention of putting out a strong team against the Biancocelesti.
That means that at most there will be one or two changes to the team that beat Monza over the weekend.

One of the two changes that Inzaghi will make for Friday’s match comes in defense.
The coach will put Francesco Acerbi back into the centre of the back three, having rested the Italian international from the start against Monza.
That means that Stefan de Vrij will drop to the bench. The Dutchman had started against the Brianzoli.
Meanwhile, Alessandro Bastoni and Benjamin Pavard will start on either side of Acerbi.
Then, on the right flank, the Gazzetta predict, Inzaghi will also make a change.
The Inter coach is still considering whether to start Dumfries or Darmian. It had been the latter who started against Monza.
But according to the Gazzetta, the ex-Manchester United veteran will likely drop to the bench.
Inzaghi is leaning towards starting Dumfries.
Meanwhile, on the opposite flank the Gazzetta anticipate that Federico Dimarco will keep his spot in the starting eleven.
And in midfield, it will be the usual trio of Nicolo Barella, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Hakan Calhanoglu.
