Inter Milan are one step away from agreeing to sign Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski and Porto’s Mehdi Taremi.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported on air via FCInter1908 that the Nerazzurri should formalize agreements with the pair for next summer in the coming weeks.

Inter have missed out on one of their major free transfer targets for next summer.

23-year-old Lille defender Tiago Djalo is now right on the verge of joining Juventus. The Nerazzurri will not sign the Portuguese when his contract expires at the end of June.

But as far as two other big opportunities, Inter are moving ahead in their pursuits.

The Nerazzurri have been following both Napoli midfielder Zielinski and Porto striker Taremi for some time now.

And according to Pedulla, it is now only a matter of time before both put pen to paper.

Inter One Step From Agreeing Zielinski & Taremi Summer Transfers

Zielinski’s contract with Napoli runs out at the end of June. And the Partenopei have failed to convince the Pole to sign an extension.

Pedulla confirms that Inter have been the club to have convinced Zielinski.

The 29-year-old has not yet formally committed his future.

But Zielinski has made his decision. He will join the Nerazzurri on a free transfer at the end of the current season.

Inter and Zielinski’s representatives have agreed terms on a deal.

So it is only a matter of time before the Nerazzurri formalize things with a pre-contract agreement.

And it may be sooner rather than later.

The same is true of Porto and Iran striker Taremi.

The Iranian international is currently with his country at the Asian Cup.

But once he returns, it shouldn’t be long before Taremi puts pen to paper and commits to Inter for next season.

With the January transfer window open, there is nothing stopping Inter from openly negotiating with players out of contract in the summer.

And with that in mind, the Nerazzurri are accelerating on two important fronts, Pedulla expects.
