Midfielder Nicolo Barella and striker Lautaro Martinez will both start for Inter Milan against Napoli in the Supercoppa Italiana tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi did not rest any key players in Friday evening’s Supercoppa semifinal win over Lazio.

The 47-year-old went with what was essentially his strongest possible starting lineup. And this was reflected in the strength of the team’s performance, as Inter thrashed the Biancocelesti 3-0.

But the Inter coach will have some decisions to make tomorrow.

The Nerazzurri face a tough match against reigning Italian champions Napoli, and do so with just a couple days of rest.

Moreover, the fact that the Partenopei will have one extra day between matches could be a factor.

And Inter also have a slew of important matches just on the way, between Serie A and the Champions League.

Barella & Lautaro To Start For Inter Vs Napoli

With all of this in mind, there has been a sense that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could decide to rotate his lineup.

There would certainly be a temptation to freshen up the team with players who did not play significant minutes in the physically intense match against Lazio just a couple days ago.

And there might be a possibility of one or two changes.

But according to the Corriere, Inzaghi is leaning towards largely sticking with the team he went with against Lazio.

The Nerazzurri boss has little intention of rotating or resting tomorrow.

This means that Inter captain Martinez will, without any doubt, play from the start of the final against Napoli.

And in midfield, Nicolo Barella will start. This despite the fact that he is one yellow card away from suspension and could therefore miss the Serie A match against Fiorentina.
