Steven Zhang has sent out a clear message to the Inter Milan squad ahead of this evening’s Supercoppa Italiana final against Napoli.
Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report the words of the Nerazzurri President in a video call with the squad yesterday.
Inter President Zhang has been in China for the past several months.
The Nerazzurri President has been attending to other business matters. Therefore, he has yet to attend an Inter match in person this season.
However, there have been regular contacts between Zhang and the Inter directors. The same is true of coach Simone Inzaghi.
And moreover, the President has also occasionally sent messages to the Inter squad.
Zhang had been present, virtually, at Inter’s annual Christmas party last month.,
And the Inter President has also given a brief message to the squad ahead of this evening’s match.
Steven Zhang Battle Cry Ahead Of Inter Vs Napoli Supercoppa Final
According to the Gazzetta, Zhang communicated with the entire Inter squad yesterday via a video call.
Every player as well as every member of the coaching staff was present for the call.
The Nerazzurri President gave his words of support ahead of this evening’s Supercoppa final against Napoli.
Inter have already won the semifinal of the competition. They secured an emphatic 3-0 win over Lazio in the previous round of the Supercoppa.
And now, reigning Serie A champions Napoli await the Nerazzurri.
The Partenopei will undoubtedly be an even tougher test than Lazio were.
Zhang told his squad, “Congratulations for the win against Lazio. And for the way that you played.”
“And for reaching yet another final,” Zhang continued.
“Now let’s give our all and fight together to win this trophy,” he exclaimed ahead of this evening’s Supercoppa final.
Inter have won the previous two Supercoppa trophies, against Juventus and AC Milan.
