Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will have to ring the changes ahead of Fiorentina, introducing Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani.

The Nerazzurri coach has one of the finest midfield trios at his disposal in the shape of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. However, the first two will be serving a one-match ban this weekend.

The Turkiye international collected his fifth booking of the season last weekend against Monza. The Italy superstar then followed suit by earning a yellow card in the Italian Super Cup final.

So according to Il Corriere dello Sport via FcInterNews, Asllani and Frattesi will get the nod this Sunday in Florence.

The young Albanian is the natural replacement for Calhanoglu in the deep-lying playmaker role. The 21-year-old has thus far made 11 Serie A appearances this season, but this will be his first as a starter.

As for Frattesi, he will fill the gap left by his compatriot Barella. The former Sassuolo star will operate as a box-to-box midfielder.

The 24-year-old appeared in 18 Serie A matches this term, but only once from the starting minute. He has two league goals and an assist to his name.

On a different front, Inter will evaluate Alessandro Bastoni’s condition who remained on the bench during the Super Cup final due to muscle fatigue.

Nevertheless, the Roman newspaper doesn’t expect Inzaghi to risk his key defender on the Tuscan trip.

The Italy international could be given additional time to restore his powers for the crucial Scudetto showdown against Juventus on the following weekend.
