Alessandro Bastoni and Denzel Dumfries are back in training for Inter Milan, whilst Nicolo Barella worked individually.

This according to Italian news outlet Nerazzurri Siamo Noi, who report on today’s training session ahead of this weekend’s Serie A match against Fiorentina.

Bastoni did not play in Inter’s Supercoppa Italiana win over Napoli earlier this week.

The 24-year-old was on the bench for that match. But he did not feature as a substitute.

Reports suggest that Bastoni had been suffering from some soreness in his thigh after having played in the semifinal match against Lazio last Friday.

Bastoni had started that match against the Bianconelesti, a 3-0 win. But he came off during the second half.

And so Inter coach Simone Inzaghi did not risk the Italian international against the Partenopei.

Bastoni was still training individually yesterday. However, today, he is back in training, working normally and completing a full training with the rest of the squad.

Bastoni & Dumfries Back In Training For Inter – Nicolo Barella Working Individually

It’s not just Bastoni who is back in training today, however.

Denzel Dumfries also made his return to full training with the rest of the group today.

The Dutchman played no part in either of Inter’s Supercoppa Italiana matches this past week.

Dumfries was an unused substitute against both Lazio and Napoli. Matteo Darmian saw out both of those matches.

And then Dumfries was reportedly on a brief “family leave.”

However, the 27-year-old is now right back in full training with the rest of his teammates.

However, there are still some question marks regarding Dumfries’s fitness. According to Nerazzurri Siamo Noi, Darmian remains the favourite to start against Fiorentina on Sunday.

One player who was not in training today was Barella.

The 26-year-old will play no part in Sunday’s match against Fiorentina. This is due to a suspension from an accumulation of yellow cards.

Accordingly, Nerazzurri Siamo Noi report, Barella did individual fitness work today.

The idea was that, since the Italian international will not be playing over the weekend, this would be a good opportunity to give him a bit of a breather to work on his fitness and rest.
