Athletic trainer Andrea Arpili has become the latest addition to Simone Inzaghi’s technical staff at Inter Milan.

According to FcInterNews, Serie B side Südtirol has announced the departure of the 44-year-old who will join the Nerazzurri.

The Rimini native holds a UEFA A license. He started his career as an athletic trainer at Santarcangelo in 2013.

Then he entertained a coaching career, becoming an assistant to Mario Petrone at Ascoli for the 2014/15 campaign.

Nevertheless, Arpili soon reverted to his original role as an athletic coach while remaining at Ascoli.

The Rimini native then held a similar role at Feralpisalo, Genoa’s Primavera squad, Perugia, Pescara and Parma, amassing valuable experience.

In 2022, Arpili joined aspiring Serie B club Südtirol but has now decided to leave them after receiving an opportunity to become a part of Inter Milan’s technical staff.

Südtirol confirmed the news on their website, revealing that the management has decided to promote Nazareno Petrichiutto from the Primavera side to the senior team where he’ll act as a replacement for the departing Arpili.

The latter will now oversee the athletic training of some of the most renowned footballers in the world, the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu.

This will certainly be a major career step up for the Italian who has been plying his trade primarily in Serie B.
