Arrigo Sacchi feels that it’s telling that Inter Milan have spent more in the transfer market than AC Milan but not won the Serie A title.

The former Rossoneri coach spoke to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, in an interview published in today’s print edition, aiming a barb at the Nerazzurri.

Former Milan coach Sacchi has never been shy about criticizing Inter.

The legendary former coach has given words of praise to the Nerazzurri and Simone Inzaghi. And he has not exactly antagonized them.

But at the same time, there has never been any doubt that Sacchi feels that the style of football of Inter’s city rivals AC Milan under Stefano Pioli has something more.

And in the view of the former Rossoneri coach, this should be considered in the context of the title race.

Sacchi feels that if Inter – and Juventus – are ahead of Milan in the title race, it reflects the fact that they have spent more in the transfer market than the Rossoneri have as much as anything else.

Arrigo Sacchi: Inter Have Spent More Than AC Milan – But Still No Serie A Title

Sacchi said, “I look at the table:.”

“The Rossoneri are third, with a good margin ahead of fourth,” he continued.

“This means that only two teams, Inter and Juve, have done better.”

“And let’s not forget that Milan is not the club that spent a ton in the transfer market,” Sacchi said.

“Inter, for example, have invested more in the last three seasons. Yet, despite having won several trophies, they have never managed to win the Scudetto.”

Sacchi argued that “Pioli is working with a group of guys who have almost all arrived from abroad.”

He argued that “It’s not easy. Patience is necessary.”

“The improvements that can be seen now are the result of the coach’s teaching,” Sacchia argued, praising Rossoneri boss Pioli.

“I have no doubt about that.”

“It’s logical that, at the beginning of the season, there was a price to pay given how many changes they made in the transfer market.”
