Inter Milan veteran Matteo Darmian could get the nod once more when the Nerazzurri resume their Serie A campaign with a clash against Fiorentina.

Both clubs participated in the Italian Super Cup that was held in Riyadh between the 18th and 22nd of January.

But while the Viola returned home prematurely following their semi-final defeat at the hands of Napoli, the Nerazzurri won the competition for the third time on the trot.

Simone Inzaghi’s men are now hoping to mark their triumphant return to the Italian peninsula with a win in Florence.

So how will the Inter coach line up his men on Sunday night?

According to Sky Sport Italia via FcInterNews, the backline in font of Yann Sommer will remain intact. In other words, Stefan de Vrij will operate at the heart of the defense, accompanied by Benjamin Pavard and Francesco Acerbi.

Alessandro Bastoni should be available for selection after overcoming a muscle strain. However. Inzaghi will likely reserve him for the ensuing Derby d’Italia showdown against Juventus.

On the right flank, Matteo Darmian could once again earn a spot ahead of Denzel Dumfries.

Tajon Buchanan offers a third option for the role, but the Canadian could make his debut as a second-half substitute.
